The invisible string theory has never been more true when it comes to our story!

Emily grew up in the Lyme-Old Lyme School District for the entirety of her grade school experience. When David was born, he lived in Westerly, RI (a true full circle moment). He attended St. Joseph's Catholic School until he transferred to Lyme-Old Lyme for middle school. This is where Emily and David's paths finally aligned however it will be years until they become friends. Through high school, while Emily was rowing, David was playing baseball and playing leading roles in the theatre.

After college, Emily and David started working at the same day care, Old Lyme Children's Learning Center for about 4 years. This included many days in the pre-school room as well as the afterschool program (at least we got a glimpse at each others parenting skills). David will say he was lead teach for the afterschool program however Emily will say she was hired as CO-LEAD teacher.

They went their separate ways for a couple years. However, Emily ended up making her way to her own apartment in Pawcatuck, CT while David was already living in Westerly, RI (a mere 5 minutes away). When finding out they lived so closely, they decided to meet for drinks at Malted Barley in downtown Westerly. They soon began a relationship! After about a year, Emily and David moved into their first apartment together in Westerly. This then led to David proposing on Church Street in Burlington, VT a little over a year later. And the rest is history!
